Website Design and Development - How the Process Works

Form follows function

It's a process of marrying business objectives, user goals, and visual identity. The end result is a website with navigational structure and architecture that serves visitors' needs; a great looking site that functions flawlessly.

Every design starts with a plan

The design process begins with the identification of goals and objectives of the web site including an analysis of its target audience. We ask a lot of questions, we listen, and we offer insights we believe will help identify important elements of the project. We spend a lot of time and energy on the planning and development phase; getting it right at the outset can save a lot of time, headache, and money down the road.

Following our initial research and fact finding, we develop a design proposal and a recommended site structure. This includes a design prototype and a summary of the site's features and functionality.

Next, construction of the individual components of the site begins. During the construction process, the site is loaded on the Idesignworks server for viewing and approval of the various phases and preliminary testing. Once the site is fully constructed and preliminary testing is complete, the site is uploaded to the client's server where final testing is completed, and the site is launched.
